Howard Chern Employment Law Welcomes New Associate Justin Tam
Effective June 1, 2026 Howard Chern Employment Law Corporation (formerly Howard Employment Law) is delighted to welcome Justin Tam as our Associate.
Justin graduated from UVic Law then articled and worked as a litigation associate with leading Vancouver litigation boutique firm Coal Harbour Law. He has developed a broad range of litigation experience, including appearances in court and before tribunals. He is joining Howard Chern to continue to expand his expertise in and pursue his passion for employment law. Justin was an executive for the UVic Law School Pan-Asian Association and plans to continue his involvement with the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (British Columbia) Society, alongside FACL BC Board member and firm partner Sebastian Chern.
Howard Chern is an employment and labour boutique firm based in Vancouver founded by Geoff Howard in 2020, with Sebastian Chern joining as a partner/shareholder in 2026. It primarily advises employers on the full life cycle of the employment relationship. This spans the drafting of Employment Agreements, through implementing policies, advising on performance management and workplace investigations, through planning and representing employers in termination and post-termination disputes. Howard Chern’s clients range from small and local to large multi-nationals, including advising multi-provincial and national employers on issues and policies across Canada. We are also proud to advise and represent employees with respect to a broad range of workplace issues and in a wide variety of industries.
